Amanda is an independent photographer in Oregon. She was previously a staff photographer at the Corvallis Gazette-Times, Albany Democrat-Herald, and The World in Coos Bay, OR.

She is a graduate of the Newhouse School of Journalism at Syracuse University with a triple major in photojournalism, earth sciences and public policy. She has worked with Virginia Tech, Syracuse.com, Bay City Times, Grand Rapids Press and The Hutchinson News.

Her work has been published by the Associated Press, Reuters, National Geographic, Time, The New York Daily News, Popular Science, Travel Oregon, The Washington Times, Engineering and Technology, IQ, CNY Life, Cole Publishing, VIA Magazine and Roanoke Business Magazine.
